Romelu Lukaku has expressed his delight at seeing Alexis Sanchez find the net in Manchester United’s 2-0 win over Swansea City on Saturday.

The Chile international has been settling into life at Old Trafford after having signed for the Red Devils from Arsenal in the January transfer window.

However, he had only managed to score one goal in his first 10 appearances for Jose Mourinho’s men and was seemingly struggle to adapt to life at his new club.

Sanchez scored Manchester United’s second goal as the Red Devils claimed all three points against Swansea City on Saturday to boost their hopes of finishing in the top four this season.

And Red Devils striker Lukaku was delighted to see Sanchez get on the score-sheet once again as he looks to help Manchester United to enjoy a positive end to the season.

Speaking to MUTV after Saturday’s game, Lukaku said: “I’m really happy for Alexis he got a lot of stick from people but the hard work pays off.

“Now it’s up to him to keep going like he did today.”

Both Lukaku and Sanchez will be hoping to feature for Manchester United when they take on Manchester City at The Etihad next weekend as they look to try and prevent Pep Guardiola’s men from winning the title against their bitter local rivals.

Manchester United are currently second as they aim to secure a top-four finish and the FA Cup title this season.
