AC Milan playmaker Suso is open to move return to Liverpool FC in the future
Suso has opened the door to a potential return to Liverpool FC in the future.
The AC Milan star spent five seasons at the Anfield outfit after Liverpool FC brought in the youngster to their youth academy from Spanish side Cadiz in 2010.
Suso threatened to break into the Liverpool FC team under Brendan Rodgers but the Spanish playmaker struggled to hold down a regular starting spot.
The 24-year-old has impressed since his move to Serie A giants AC Milan in the 2015 summer transfer window.
Suso has 15 goals in 95 games in all competitions since his move to the San Siro but the Spanish midfielder has struggled to reverse AC Milan’s decline despite impressing since his move.
Liverpool FC have been linked with a potential swoop to re-sign Suso from Milan in the summer transfer window given the Reds have funds to spend on a new attacking midfielder after Philippe Coutinho’s £142m move to FC Barcelona in the January transfer window.
While Suso doesn’t want to leave AC Milan in the near future, the former Cadiz playmaker would open to a return to Liverpool FC at some point in his career.
“In a sense I became a man before I became a footballer,” Suso told the Liverpool Echo.
“It was very hard with the lifestyle and language.
“But to this day I remember everything. I did not play that much but I got to know Steven Gerrard and be a team-mate of players such as Luis Suarez, Philippe Coutinho and Jamie Carragher. I’ll never forget my experience at Liverpool.
“Premier League football is different, I would call it special: I would like to play for Liverpool again some day. I grew up there and it is a big club.”
Liverpool FC will take on Real Madrid in the Champions League final on Saturday.
