Arsenal and Chelsea FC are both expressing an interest in signing Atalanta midfielder Bryan Cristante this summer, according to reports in the British media.

Sky Sports is reporting that both of the London clubs are “tracking” the 23-year-old with a view to a possible summer move to bring him to the English capital.

According to the same report, Cristante’s representatives met with Premier League clubs in London last month and the player is keen on a move to the English top flight.

However, it is also claimed that there is strong interest from Italy’s top clubs as well as German side Borussia Dortmund.

Cristante, who recently made his Italy debut, has been in fine form this season, netting 12 goals in 44 appearances after having made his loan move to Atalanta from Benfica permanent.

Both Arsenal and Chelsea FC are likely to be on the lookout for significant reinforcements this summer as the two London clubs look to assemble squads capable of winning the Premier League title next season.

The two London rivals are currently in fifth and sixth place in the Premier League table and therefore are unlikely to be able to offer Champions League football to potential recruits for next season.
