Arsenal have stepped up their interest in signing Nabil Fekir from Lyon this summer, according to reports in the British media.

The Sun is reporting that the Gunners hold a strong interest in trying to bring the 24-year-old to the north London club this summer as they prepare for life without Arsene Wenger.

The same report says that Fekir is rated at around £50m by the French side and he is set to be part of the French national team for this summer’s World Cup in Russia.

Fekir has long been linked with a move to Arsenal and he was touted as a target for the north London club last summer but a move failed to materialise.

He has since been in fine form for the Ligue 1 side, scoring 22 goals in 37 games in all competitions this season.

Fekir is under contract at Lyon until 2020 and has been attracting interest from Arsenal for the last three years, according to the same story.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are currently preparing for their crunch Europa League semi-final showdown with Atletico Madrid in Spain on Thursday night.

The Gunners were held to a 1-1 draw in the first leg of the semi-final clash at The Emirates last week.
