The German playmaker is widely considered to be one of the finest attacking talents in Europe and he is a regular fixture in the first team at The Emirates.
Ozil recently committed his long-term future to the north London club by signing a new contract earlier this year.
The 29-year-old will be hoping to help the Gunners challenge for silverware in the coming seasons as the north London club prepare to appoint a new manager to replace Arsene Wenger this summer.
And Atletico Madrid boss Simeone is clearly a keen admirer of the World Cup winner, as he talked up the playmaker ahead of his side’s clash with Arsenal in the Europa League on Thursday night.
Speaking at his pre-match news conference before Thursday night’s game in Madrid, Simeone said: “They have many players between the lines, who float in a difficult place to score.
“They have a lot of speed in the last third.
“Ozil is the most dangerous player they have, because of his creativity and vision of the game.”
Arsenal are currently in sixth place in the Premier League table and looking likely to miss out on a top four finish for the second season running.
The Gunners, who have lifted the FA Cup in three of the last four years, have not won the Premier League title since their famous unbeaten triumph in the 2003-04 campaign under Wenger at Highbury.
