Arsenal’s next manager is to be handed a £200m transfer budget this summer, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Star is reporting that the north London club are preparing to hand Arsene Wenger’s successor a significant budget to strengthen the Gunners’ squad this summer.

Arsenal are yet to announce who will be their new manager after Wenger confirmed that he will be standing down as Gunners boss at the end of the current campaign.

According to the same story however, Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri is still Arsenal’s first choice to take over at The Emirates ahead of next season.

Arsenal are coming to terms with the disappointment of missing out on a place in next season’s Champions League after they were beaten by Atletico Madrid in the Europa League semi-finals last week.

The Gunners are now preparing for their home Premier League clash against Burnley at The Emirates on Sunday afternoon in what will be Wenger’s final home game in charge at the north London side.

The north London side have struggled to challenge for the Premier League title in recent years, and they have not won the trophy since their famous unbeaten triumph in the 2003-04 campaign.
