Arsenal will hold talks with Mikel Arteta about becoming the next Gunners manager

Arsenal are set to hold discussions with Mikel Arteta about filling the vacant managerial position at The Emirates, according to a report in England.
Sky Sports is reporting that the Gunners will hold talks with the 36-year-old Manchester City coach in the English capital later this week.
The same article states that Arsenal’s hief executive Ivan Gazidis, head of football relations Raul Sanllehi and head of recruitment Sven Mislintat will all meet the club’s former captain.
According the same story, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola won’t stand in Arteta’s way should the Gunners make an offer to the former Everton midfielder.
The Gunners are prepared to allow Arteta to select his own backroom staff and the Arsenal board will hand the current Manchester City coach a budget in the region of £50m.
Arsenal finished in sixth place in the Premier League table to miss out on a Champions League spot for the second successive season under Arsene Wenger.
The Frenchman stood down after 22 seasons in charge of the north London club but the Gunners haven’t won the Premier League title since 2003-04.
Arsenal lost 3-0 to Premier League champions Manchester City in the League Cup final at Wembley back in February.
