Arsenal are ready to sell Aaron Ramsey this summer if the midfielder refuses to sign a new contract before the start of next season, according to reports in the British media.

The Sun is reporting that the Gunners are prepared to cash-in on the Wales international this summer to avoid a repeat of the Alexis Sanchez – Mesut Ozil contract sagas.

Ramsey was one of Arsenal’s most consistent performers in the second half of the season but he is yet to sign a new deal with the north London club and his current contract is set to expire at the end of next term.

According to the same story, Arsenal are determined not to be held to ransom again and they will look to offload Ramsey this summer if he refuses to commit to a new contract.

Ramsey is reportedly aware of interest from other clubs and he would be expecting a significant pay hike on his current £100,000 a week wages.

The Wales international scored 11 goals and made nine assists in all competitions for Arsenal this season.

Meanwhile, the Gunners are still on the lookout for a new manager as they look to find a successor to Arsene Wenger at The Emirates.
