Arsenal are keen to complete a £75m triple transfer swoop before the start of the World Cup this summer, according to reports in the British media.
talkSPORT is claiming that the Gunners are eyeing deals for Borussia Dortmund defender Sokraits Papasthathopolous, Freiburg’s Caglar Soyuncu and Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno.
The same story says that the north London club are aiming to get the deals done as quickly as possible, and that they could even be completed before Arsenal confirm the appointment of their new manager.
According to the same article, Arsenal’s head of recruitment Sven Mislintat has been given a free reign to push through the deals because Arsene Wenger’s replacement has not yet been found.
The same story says that Mislintat knows the three targets well from his time as Borussia Dortmund’s chief scout.
The article claims that Arsenal are keen to try and get the deals completed before the transfer window officially opens on 1 June across Europe.
However, it is also suggested that official confirmation of the signings may not take place until Arsenal’s new manager has been confirmed.
The Gunners are looking for a new manager after Wenger stood down at the end of the season after almost 22 years in charge of the north London club.
