Cesc Fabregas takes to social media to reveal his delight at Chelsea FC's victory over Liverpool FC

Cesc Fabregas has praised Chelsea FC’s “fight” following their important 1-0 victory over Liverpool FC at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Olivier Giroud scored the only goal of the game in the first half at Stamford Bridge as Antonio Conte’s men kept alive their hopes of finishing in the top four this season.

Chelsea FC will now look to move level on points with third-placed Liverpool FC when they host Huddersfield Town in their game in hand at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.

The Blues are still hoping that Liverpool FC will drop points in their final game of the season against Brighton at Anfield on Sunday.

And 31-year-old midfielder Fabregas has expressed his delight at the character shown by Conte’s side during their clash with Liverpool FC at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Fabregas posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Great fight yesterday.

“Let’s make sure we keep on winning. Amazing atmosphere once again at the bridge, thank you. @chelseafc 🙏🏻.”

Chelsea FC are aiming to try and break back into the top four before the season is out and secure their place in next term’s Champions League.

Conte’s side are also looking to try and end the season with a trophy and they will take on Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley later this month.
