Chelsea FC and Arsenal are both monitoring Eric Bailly’s situation at Manchester United ahead of the summer transfer window, according to reports.

ESPN, as quoted by the Daily Mirror, is reporting that both of the London clubs are keeping tabs on the Ivory Coast star’s situation ahead of the summer.

The same report says that Bailly is said to be concerned about his future at Manchester United after having dropped down the pecking order at Old Trafford in recent weeks.

Jose Mourinho insisted that he has been playing other defenders ahead of Bailly for Manchester United in recent weeks because he is not going to the World Cup this summer.

However, the same story says that both Arsenal and Chelsea FC are “waiting in the wings” and could move for Bailly should it become clear that a move away from Old Trafford in on the cards.

Both Chelsea FC and Arsenal are likely to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they look to build squads capable of winning the title next season.

The Blues are currently fifth and Arsenal are sixth, with both London clubs set to miss out on Champions League football next season as things stand.
