Chelsea FC are worried that Eden Hazard could seek a move away this summer if Antonio Conte stays in charge, say reports
Chelsea FC are worried that Eden Hazard could seek a move away from the club if Antonio Conte stays on as manager, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Telegraph, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that fears over Hazard’s future at the club have contributed to Chelsea FC looking to bring in a new manager to replace Conte.
According to the same story, the relationship between Hazard and Conte has become “strained” and the Belgian could look to force a move away from the club if the Italian manager stays on at the club.
Hazard has long been linked with a move to Real Madrid, although the player himself has regularly underlined his commitment to the west London club.
Conte’s future has also been a source of uncertainty in recent weeks due to Chelsea FC’s mixed second season under the Italian manager.
The Blues have struggled to produce consistent form under Conte in the Italian manager’s second season in charge at the west London club.
However, the can still end the season with a trophy by beating Manchester United in the FA Cup final next weekend.
Chelsea FC won the Premier League in style last term but that was when the Blues did not have the distraction of any European football.
