Chelsea FC identify Uruguay attacker as Alvaro Morata’s replacement – report
Chelsea FC will try and sign Edinson Cavani from PSG this summer, according to reports
Chelsea FC will make a move to sign Edinson Cavani from Paris Saint-Germain if Alvaro Morata leaves this summer, according to reports in Italy.
Italian media outlet Tuttosport, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Blues will target the 31-year-old Uruguay attacker if Morata completes an expected move back to Juventus this summer.
Morata has endured something of a difficult first campaign in England since his move to Stamford Bridge from Real Madrid last summer.
The 25-year-old hit the ground running in the first few months of the campaign but his form has tailed off since picking up a back injury half-way through the season.
According to reports in Italy, Morata could be heading back to Juventus this summer after a disappointing campaign in England.
And that could mean that Chelsea FC move to sign Cavani from PSG, who would reportedly be happy to cash-in on the forward this summer.
Chelsea FC are bound to be linked with a host of players in the coming weeks and month, despite the uncertainty about Antonio Conte’s future at the club.
There has been no official announcement on Conte’s situation, but he has been widely tipped to leave the club this summer after two years in charge.
