Gary Cahill has remained tightlipped when asked if he would like Antonio Conte to remain at Chelsea FC.
The former Juventus manager has endured a difficult second season at Stamford Bridge despite winning the Premier League title last term.
Chelsea FC finished in fifth place in the Premier League table and 30 points adrift of champions Manchester City in the current campaign.
The west London side managed to end the season on a positive note after Chelsea FC were 1-0 winners against Manchester United in the FA Cup final.
The Blues manager has been linked with a potential exit after falling out with the Blues board over transfers in the past 12 months.
The Chelsea FC defender refused to give any indication about whether he would like the Italian coach to remain at the west London side.
“It’s been a strange season,” Cahill told Sky Sports.
“There’s been a lot of speculation for many months now, but the season finished on a high for us. We won a major trophy. That was a great end for the players, fans and staff.
“What will be, will be this summer. As players we have no say over that.
“He’s been good for me. I’ve taken things from him like I have the rest of the managers. I’ve enjoyed the success we’ve had together. He’s been great.
“It’s difficult because you’ve seen the speculation for so many months now, but the only aim for us was to finish the season very well and win the cup, and we did that. Two major trophies with the manager up to now, it’s been good.”
Chelsea FC won the Premier League title with two games to spare last season after the Blues finished seven points above Tottenham Hotspur in the title race.
The west London side haven’t won the Champions League title since 2012 when the Blues beat Bayern Munich on penalties at the Allianz Arena.
Chelsea FC finished in fifth spot in the Premier League table after a 3-0 loss to Newcastle United on the final day of the season.
