Shaka Hislop has ruled out Chelsea FC finishing in the top four ahead of Liverpool FC.

The Blues are in fifth place in the Premier League table and two points behind Jurgen Klopp’s side ahead of the final day of the season.

Chelsea FC secured a lifeline in their bid to secure Champions League football for next season after a 1-0 win over Liverpool FC at Stamford Bridge last weekend.

However, the west London side were unable to make their game in hand count after Chelsea FC were held to a 1-1 draw with Huddersfield Town at Stamford Bridge mid-week.

The Blues will need to beat Newcastle United at St James’ Park on Sunday, while Antonio Conte and his players will be hoping that Brighton can beat Liverpool FC at Anfield.

Former West Ham goalkeeper Hislop doesn’t believe Chelsea FC will be able to beat the odds and secure a top-four finish.

“It was a significant win but Chelsea have let this slip from their own grasp,” Hislop told ESPN FC.

Chelsea FC signed Everton star Ross Barkley, AS Roma defender Emerson Palmieri and Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud in the January transfer window.

The Blues have won the Premier League title in two of the past three seasons under Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho.
