Cesc Fabregas names Chelsea FC star who need to perform v Man United
The Chelsea FC star talks up the importance of Eden Hazard ahead of their clash against Manchester United in the FA Cup final
Cesc Fabregas has admitted that Chelsea FC need Eden Hazard to have a big performance against Manchester United in the FA Cup final on Saturday.
The Blues are looking to end the season on a positive note following a disappointing fifth-placed finish in the Premier League despite winning the top-flight crown last term.
Chelsea FC were 2-0 winners against Southampton in the FA Cup semi-finals courtesy of goals from Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata to book their place in the showpiece.
However, Hazard was in excellent form in the last-four clash as the Belgian star looks to get his hands on the FA Cup trophy for the first time in his career.
The Belgium international has scored 12 goals and has made six assists in 36 appearances in the Premier League this season but Hazard hasn’t been in top form.
Fabregas raved about Hazard ahead of the FA Cup final but admitted the 27-year-old will need to have a big performance if Chelsea FC are to beat Manchester United on Saturday.
“He’s a fantastic player and on his day he can be unstoppable,” Fabregas told Chelsea FC’s website.
“We have to make sure we give him the right service and that he can feel comfortable in the game so hopefully he can work his magic and give us a good performance, because we will need that.”
Hazard has won two Premier League titles, the Europa League and the League Cup since his move to Chelsea FC from Ligue 1 outfit Lille in the 2012 summer transfer window.
The Chelsea star has been linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent weeks.
