Cesc Fabregas opens up about Jose Mourinho ahead of Chelsea FC v Man United
The Chelsea FC star lavishes praise on Jose Mourinho ahead of their FA Cup final meeting at Wembley this weekend
Cesc Fabregas has spoken of his affection for Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho ahead of their FA Cup final meeting at Wembley on Saturday.
Chelsea FC will take on their bitter rivals in the FA Cup showpiece in search of some silverware to end a disappointing season on a positive note.
The Blues finished in fifth place to miss out on a Champions League spot for the second time in three campaigns despite winning the Premier League title in 2017.
Fabregas and his Chelsea FC team-mates will come up against their former manager Mourinho and his Manchester United side at Wembley this weekend.
The 31-year-old hasn’t won the FA Cup since the Gunners beat Manchester United in the FA Cup final in 2005 during his spell at Arsenal.
Fabregas spoke in glowing terms about Mourinho ahead of the FA Cup showpiece this weekend.
“I love Jose. He’s been fantastic with me, ever since I came to Chelsea,” Fabregas is quoted as saying by the Daily Express.
“Obviously not before but since I came to Chelsea he’s been fantastic with me and I love him.
“But obviously on Saturday I want him to lose. I want to win for Chelsea, for myself, for the fans and hopefully we can do that.”
Fabregas won the Premier League title and the League Cup under Mourinho in the 2014-15 season following his return to the Premier League from FC Barcelona in 2014.
Chelsea FC will hope to win the FA Cup after a 2-1 loss to Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley last season.
The Blues lost 3-0 to Newcastle United in their final Premier League game of the season.
