Phil Jones sends warning to Chelsea FC about Man United ahead of FA Cup final
The Manchester United star vows the Red Devils will take the game to Chelsea FC in the FA Cup final
Phil Jones has warned Chelsea FC that Manchester United will take the game to the Blues in the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Devils are looking to win their third trophy in the last two seasons since Jose Mourinho took over the reins from Louis van Gaal back in May 2016.
Manchester United were 2-1 winners against Crystal Palace in extra time in the FA Cup final at Wembley in 2015 before Van Gaal was axed in favour of Mourinho.
The 20-time English champions will take on a Chelsea FC side reeling from the disappointment of missing out on a top-four place under Antonio Conte.
The Italian head coach is being tipped to leave at the end of the campaign following a difficult second season in charge of Chelsea FC.
Manchester United were 2-1 winners against Chelsea FC at Old Trafford earlier this year following a 1-0 loss to the Blues at Stamford Bridge back in October.
Speaking to the club’s website about Manchester United’s clash against Chelsea FC in the FA Cup final on Saturday evening, Jones said:
“There are positives to take from that game,” Jones said.
“The FA Cup final is the cup competition in England that everyone wants to win. It’s important that we do go and really take the game to them and come away with the trophy.”
Manchester United finished in second spot in the Premier League table but ended up 19 points behind champions Manchester City.
