Inter Milan keen on signing 25-year-old Chelsea FC star – report
Inter Milan are among the clubs keen on signing Alvaro Morata this summer, say reports
Inter Milan are the latest club to join the race to sign Alvaro Morata from Chelsea FC this summer, according to reports in the British media.
Website Goal, as reported by the Sun, is reporting that the Italian giants are keen to make a move for the Spanish forward, who has struggled in his first campaign at Chelsea FC.
Morata, 25, signed for the west London club last summer and initially made a strong start to life at Chelsea FC, but his form tailed off in the second part of the season after he suffered a back injury midway through the campaign.
It looks set to be another summer of uncertainty at Stamford Bridge, with Antonio Conte’s future still up in the air and a number of transfers in both directions likely to be made.
According to the same report, Inter Milan are now preparing to battle it out with Italian rivals AC Milan and Juventus for the signature of Morata this summer.
Whether there is any truth to the reports that Morata could quit Chelsea FC this summer remains to be seen.
The Blues managed to end the season on a high when they beat Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley last weekend.
