Juventus line up loan move to sign Alvaro Morata from Chelsea FC – report
Juventus are lining up a move to sign Alvaro Morata on loan from Chelsea FC this summer, say reports
Juventus are lining up an ambitious loan move to sign Alvaro Morata from Chelsea FC this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Express is reporting that the Italian club are keen on a move to bring the 25-year-old striker back to Turin after his mixed first season in the Premier League with Chelsea FC.
Morata signed for Chelsea FC from Real Madrid last summer, and he initially made a strong start to his career at Stamford Bridge.
However, a back injury towards the middle of the season hampered his progress and he has struggled to find consistent form for Antonio Conte’s men since then.
According to the same report, Juventus are set to make a £15m bid to sign Morata on loan for one or two seasons, with the option to make the deal permanent for an additional £40m.
Morata had a successful two year stint with Juventus, scoring 27 goals in 93 games between 2014 and 2016.
In the meantime, Morata will be aiming to help Chelsea FC finish the season on a high.
The Blues take on Newcastle United in their final Premier League game of the season on Sunday, before switching their attentions to the FA Cup final against Manchester United.
