Antonio Conte has hinted that he may rotate his Chelsea FC team for their crunch clash with Newcastle United on Sunday.

The Blues head into their final Premier League game of the season knowing that they must beat the Magpies to have any hope of snatching a top-four finish this season.

The west London side slipped to a 1-1 draw with Huddersfield Town on Wednesday night as they missed the chance to move level on points with Liverpool FC.

That means that Liverpool FC will secure a top-four finish ahead of Chelsea FC as long as they avoid defeat against Brighton at Anfield on Sunday.

Conte’s side will also have one eye on next week’s FA Cup final showdown against Manchester United at Wembley as the Blues look to try and end the season with a trophy.

And the Italian manager has hinted that he is likely to ring the changes for the trip to St James’ Park this weekend.

Speaking at a news conference at Cobham on Friday, Conte said: “It’s important for us to be focused on the Newcastle game, and then we have five days to think about and prepare for the FA Cup final.

“Probably I can change something, but not because I am thinking about the FA Cup final, only because someone could be tired after two tough games in three days.”

Chelsea FC have struggled to find consistent form in the Premier League this season after having won the competition in style last term.

The Blues were knocked out of the Champions League by FC Barcelona and struggled to product consistent displays in the top flight.
