Antonio Conte has admitted that Chelsea FC are firmly back in the hunt for a top-four finish after their win over Liverpool FC on Sunday.

The west London side sealed a 1-0 victory over Liverpool FC at Stamford Bridge thanks to Olivier Giroud’s first half goal as they kept alive their hopes of finishing in the top four.

Chelsea FC moved to within just two points of fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur thanks to their victory over Liverpool FC with two games left to play this season.

The Blues have won their last four Premier League games on the spin after looking unlikely to finish in the top four a few weeks ago.

And the Chelsea FC manager has admitted that he has been delighted by the way his side have been performing in recent weeks as they look to try and break back into the Champions League spots before the season is out.

Speaking at his post-match news conference on Sunday, Conte said: “One month ago it was impossible to imagine we could arrive at the end and fight for a place in the Champions League, now there is the hope because we have been getting three points in every game and our opponents are dropping points.

“Our future is not in our hands but for sure we are putting pressure on the teams above us.”

Chelsea FC will look to take another step towards a top-four finish when they take on Huddersfield at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night, before their final Premier League game of the season at Newcastle United on Sunday.
