Paul Scholes is tipping Antonio Conte to leave Chelsea FC this summer.

The Italian has found his future to be a relentless source of speculation in recent months after the Blues struggled to produce consistent performances in the Premier League.

Chelsea FC were in stuttering form throughout the campaign as they ended up in fifth place in the Premier League and missed out on a place in the Champions League for next season.

The west London side did manage to end the campaign on a positive note as they beat Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday afternoon.

However, it remains to be seen whether Conte will see out the final year of his contract or if he will part company with Chelsea FC after two seasons.

And former Manchester United midfielder Scholes seems to think that the writing is on the wall for Conte, who he feels is destined to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.

Speaking in an interview with BT Sport, Scholes said: “You think of last season when they were so good and won the league… his antics on the touchline when he was up and about and lively.

“I really think that transferred into his team.

“This season there has been a big difference. He has had his moments still, but he’s been very much subdued and whether he’s doing that in protest I don’t know.”

Chelsea FC won the Premier League title in Conte’s first campaign in charge at Stamford Bridge, but their stuttering form this term caused them to drop out of the Champions League places.
