Borussia Dortmund have been priced out of a move to sign Tiemoue Bakayoko from Chelsea FC this summer, according to reports in the German media.

German Sport 1, as quoted by the Sun is reporting that Chelsea FC are demanding a transfer fee of £53m to sell the midfielder just one year after he arrived at Stamford Bridge from Monaco last summer.

According to the same story, Dortmund have made an approach to try and sign the 23-year-old but the Bundesliga side have been put off by Chelsea FC’s valuation of the player.

Despite his ineffective performances this season, Chelsea FC are said to be demanding £13m more than they paid to sign him from Monaco last year.

However, it is also claimed in the same story that Dortmund do still retain an interest in signing Bakayoko this summer.

Although, any deal would be dependant on Chelsea FC considerably dropping their asking price for the midfielder ahead of next season.

The France international will be hoping to help Chelsea FC end the season on a high by beating Manchester United to win the FA Cup at Wembley at the end of the month.

The Blues have struggled in the Premier League this season in Antonio Conte’s second campaign in charge.
