The Blues are currently the outsiders to finish in the top four this season, with Conte’s men currently in fifth place in the table and looking as though they will have to settle for Europa League football next term.
Liverpool FC, meanwhile, are third in the table and are looking to secure their place in the Champions League next season via a top-four finish under Jurgen Klopp.
The Reds are heading into Sunday’s showdown against Chelsea FC at Stamford Bridge after having booked their place in the Champions League final thanks to their semi-final triumph over AS Roma.
Liverpool FC will now prepare to take on Real Madrid in the final in Kiev at the end of the month as they bid to try and win their first trophy under Jurgen Klopp.
However, first the Reds must focus on trying to secure a top-four finish in the Premier League, and Conte has warned Liverpool FC that Chelsea FC have their sights firmly set on taking their place.
Speaking at a news conference at Cobham on Friday afternoon, Conte said: “This could be a good opportunity but in the last three games, if we want to keep the hope alive we have to win, and as we know very well Liverpool are a good team.
“It won’t be easy but if we want to keep hope alive we must get three points.
“I don’t know if this is the right moment to play against them, but for sure you expect a tough game against Liverpool and you must be ready to fight and to play against them.
“It is very important to play a good game, but we are ready to play against them.”
