The Blues ended their Premier League campaign with a disappointing 3-0 defeat at the hands of Newcastle United on Sunday afternoon as they slipped to a fifth-placed finish in the top flight.
It means that Chelsea FC will have to settle for a season in the Europa League next term as they missed out on qualification for the Champions League.
Chelsea FC will now look to bounce back and end the season on a high when they take on Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday evening.
And Conte has admitted that the Blues will have to step their game up against the Red Devils if they want to end what has been a disappointing campaign with a trophy.
Speaking at his post-match news conference on Sunday after the loss to the Magpies, Conte said: “We have an important game in six days and now we have to prepare in a different way than today.
“Our fans deserve more than today. We have six days to prepare for the final of the FA Cup and we have to change.”
It remains to be seen whether Conte will remain in charge at Stamford Bridge beyond the summer or whether Chelsea FC will look to bring in a new manager.
