Giroud netted the eventual winner for the west London side when he headed home Victor Moses’ cross in the 32nd minute at Stamford Bridge to hand Chelsea FC the three points and keep alive their hopes of finishing in the top four.
The French striker ran over to David Luiz to celebrate giving Chelsea FC the lead in the first half at Stamford Bridge.
And the Brazil international dedicated a post on social media to his new team-mate following Giroud’s transfer to Chelsea FC from Arsenal in the January window.
David Luiz posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Everything to our Lord! Great friendship God gave me this year! Thanks for that my friend “Oli Oli” ! Happy moment! #fightinguntiltheend.”
Chelsea FC are currently in fifth place in the Premier League as they look to break back into the top four spots and seal their place in the Champions League for next season.
The Blues will return to Premier League action on Wednesday night when they take on Huddersfield Town at Stamford Bridge, before their final game of the season in the top flight – a trip to Newcastle United on Sunday.
