Eden Hazard has talked up the importance of Chelsea FC winning the FA Cup this season.

The Blues are preparing to take on Manchester United in the final at Wembley on Saturday evening as they look to end what has been a largely disappointing season on a positive note.

Chelsea FC ended up in fifth place in the Premier League table this term, meaning that they will have to settle for a place in the Europa League next season rather than the Champions League.

Hazard and his team-mates have struggled to produce consistent form in the Premier League under Antonio Conte this term, despite having won the title in style last season.

And the 27-year-old playmaker has talked up the importance of Chelsea FC beating Manchester United this weekend to end their campaign on a positive note.

Speaking to Metro, Hazard said: “I need two more trophies: Champions League and FA Cup.

“I think, to play Champions League next season is important. To win trophies also.

“Trophies are important. FA Cup, League Cup, Premier League, Champions League. You know? And it’s more important for me, because I’ve never won this one. That’s why I want to win.”

Chelsea FC are likely to be linked with a host of players in the coming weeks and months as the Blues look to assemble a squad capable of challenging for the title next season.

However, it remains to be seen whether Conte will remain in charge for a third season at Stamford Bridge or not.
