N’Golo Kante has called on his Chelsea FC team-mates to learn from their disappointing campaign this season.

The Blues won the Premier League title in style in Antonio Conte’s first campaign in charge at the club but they struggled to maintain consistent form in the top flight this term.

Chelsea FC were in stuttering form throughout the campaign and they ended up missing out on a top-four finish as they slumped to a fifth-placed finish in the top flight table.

It means that the west London club will have to settle for Europa League football next season rather than Champions League football.

Nevertheless, Chelsea FC did manage to end the campaign on a high by beating Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley last weekend as they finished the season with a trophy.

And midfielder Kante believes that it is crucial for the west London club to learn the lessons from their disappointing form this season.

Speaking in an interview with Chelsea FC’s website, Kante said: “I think after each season we learn.

“I would say I learned as a player and as a winner, always trying to reach our targets.

“It is one season more of experience for me, and we have to learn from this season to do better in the next one.”

Chelsea FC are likely to be linked with a host of players in the coming weeks and months as the Blues look to assemble a squad capable of winning the Premier League next season.
