Gary Lineker responds to Olivier Giroud’s display in Chelsea FC v Liverpool FC
Gary Lineker salutes Olivier Giroud after the striker's goal in Chelsea FC's clash with Liverpool FC

Gary Lineker took to social media to salute Olivier Giroud after the striker netted the opener in Chelsea FC’s clash with Liverpool FC on Sunday afternoon.
Giroud has been settling in well to life at Stamford Bridge following his transfer to the west London club from Arsenal in the January window.
The France international expertly nodded Victor Moses’ cross past Loris Karius in the 32nd minute at Stamford Bridge to give the home side the lead.
It was Giroud’s fourth goal of the season for Chelsea FC since his move to the west London side.
And former England star Lineker has clearly been impressed by the impact Giroud has been having at Stamford Bridge after he netted the opener on Sunday.
Lineker wrote on Twitter after Giroud had given the home side the lead: “Say what you like about Giroud, he’s bloody good in the box.”
Giroud will be hoping to help Chelsea FC end the season on a high when they take on Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley at the end of the month.
The Blues won the Premier League title in style last season but have struggled to produce consistent performances in the top flight in Antonio Conte’s second season in charge of the club.
