Thierry Henry sends Chelsea FC warning to Man United
Thierry Henry has a warning for Manchester United ahead of their clash with Chelsea FC in the FA Cup final
Thierry Henry has warned Manchester United that Antonio Conte will be desperate to lead Chelsea FC to FA Cup glory over the Red Devils this weekend.
The Blues have endured a disappointing second campaign under the Italian manager as they slipped to a fifth-placed finish in the Premier League to miss out on a spot in the Champions League for next season.
Manchester United, meanwhile, ended up as runners-up to Manchester City in the Premier League table as they secured their highest finish since Sir Alex Ferguson guided them to the title back in 2013.
Both teams’ hopes of ending the season with a trophy now rest on this weekend’s FA Cup final at Wembley.
However, Arsenal legend Henry has warned Manchester United that Conte will desperate for glory in the game as he has never won a cup competition as a manager.
Speaking to Sky Sports on Sunday, Henry said: “Conte has never won a cup, so trust me, he is going to want to win that first one with Chelsea.”
Chelsea FC won the Premier League title in style last season but they struggled to produce consistent form in the top flight this term as they slipped down into fifth place.
It remains to be seen whether Conte will stay on as Chelsea FC manager beyond the summer or if the Blues will look to bring in a new boss ahead of next season.
