Victor Moses salutes Chelsea FC stars after FA Cup win over Man United
Victor Moses celebrates helping Chelsea FC beating Man United in the FA Cup final
Victor Moses could not hide his delight after helping to fire Chelsea FC to an FA Cup final victory over Manchester United on Saturday.
The Blues ended what has been a difficult season on a high by beating the Red Devils at Wembley on Saturday afternoon as they lifted their second major trophy under Antonio Conte.
Eden Hazard ended up scoring the only goal of the game in the first half when he expertly converted his penalty after being brought down by Phil Jones in the box.
The Red Devils improved in the second half but they were unable to conjure an equaliser against Conte’s men.
The triumph was a welcome end to the season for the Blues, who ended up in fifth place in the Premier League to leave them without qualification for next season’s Champions League.
And Nigeria international Moses was delighted to play his part in helping Chelsea FC to claim the victory over Jose Mourinho’s men.
Speaking to Chelsea FC’s website after the game, Moses said: “I am very pleased. After what happened last year this was different and we are very pleased to win the game.
“I thought we were tremendous. Man United kept coming at us second half.
“In the first half I thought we had done very well and should have scored more goals, but we kept it cool and we were very solid at the back. We know we have the ability to defend.
“All the lads who have never won it before are very happy and we are very happy to win this FA Cup, it is very important for us.”
Chelsea FC are now bound to be linked with a host of players in the coming weeks and months as they look to assemble a team capable of winning the Premier League title next season.
