Mo Salah sends message to Chelsea FC fans after Liverpool FC move
Mohamed Salah opens up about his failed spell at Chelsea FC before his sparkling form for Liverpool FC
Mohamed Salah has admitted that he learnt a lot from his failed spell at Chelsea FC following his sparkling debut campaign at Liverpool FC.
The Egypt international was one of European football’s top performing players this season and he scored a staggering 44 goals in all competitions for Jurgen Klopp’s men following his move from AS Roma last summer.
Salah was unable to help Liverpool FC win the Champions League as he was substituted in the first half of the 3-1 defeat by Real Madrid in the final in Kiev on Saturday night.
The 25-year-old spent a short spell at Chelsea FC but was unable to break into the first team at Stamford Bridge before his eventual move to AS Roma.
Salah has been in sensational form for Liverpool FC this season and won the Premier League golden boot, as well as the PFA player of the year award.
And the Egyptian has now opened up about his failed spell at Chelsea FC, insisting that it was a valuable learning experience for him.
Speaking to BT Sport before the Champions League final, Salah said: “I learnt a lot from Jose Mourinho and the club. I learned a lot there.
“I was young and I didn’t have my chance. That’s what I can say about that time.”
Salah will be hoping that his shoulder injury is not too serious ahead of Egypt’s trip to the World Cup in Russia this summer.
