Edinson Cavani has insisted that he has no intention of quitting Paris Saint-Germain following the recent speculation linking him with a move to Chelsea FC this summer.

The Uruguay international has been touted as a potential target for the west London side in recent days amid apparent uncertainty about Alvaro Morata’s long-term future at the west London club.

Chelsea FC are likely to be linked with a host of players this summer as they look to assemble a squad capable of winning the Premier League title next season.

It has been a campaign of disappointment so far for Antonio Conte’s men, although the Blues could still win the FA Cup by beating Manchester United in the final later this month.

However, it seems that they will have to look at other options other than Cavani to bolster their squad, after the forward’s latest comments.

Cavani is quoted as saying by Metro: “My future is here, of course.

“I think that it has been a good season and intense. We must enjoy moments like these. I am pleased for the supporters and to be here.”

Chelsea FC will travel to Newcastle United in their final Premier League game of the season on Sunday afternoon before they switch their attentions towards the FA Cup final against Manchester United at the end of the month.

The Blues won the Premier League title in style last term but struggled to produce consistent displays this season.
