Guillem Balague confirms Real Madrid want to sign Chelsea FC star
Guillem Balague claims Real Madrid are definitely keen on signing Eden Hazard this summer
Guillem Balague has claimed that Real Madrid are definitely keen on signing Eden Hazard from Chelsea FC this summer.
Hazard has long been linked with a move to Real Madrid and his Chelsea FC future is likely to be fresh source of speculation this summer after the Blues missed out on qualification for next season’s Champions League.
The 27-year-old is widely regarded as one of European football’s top attacking talents and he has been earning lots of praise for his performances for Chelsea FC since his move to the club from Lille back in 2012.
Hazard has helped Chelsea FC to win two Premier League titles since his move to the west London side.
Now, Spanish football expert Balague claims that Hazard’s future could be linked to whether Gareth Bale stays at Real Madrid this summer or not.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, Balague said: “It’s an interesting one.
“He [Bale] doesn’t want to go and Real Madrid are telling him they don’t want to let him go, but they need the money.
“So to bring in another Galactico – Eden Hazard is definitely a target and while the Robert Lewandowski link has gone a bit cold he’s still a possibility – the fact is they still need to sell players.”
Chelsea FC are likely to be busy in the summer transfer window as they look to assemble a squad capable of winning the title next season.
The Blues ended up in a disappointing fifth place in the Premier League table in what was an inconsistent second season under Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge.
