Chelsea FC plot sensational swap deal for prolific Serie A striker – report
Chelsea FC want to sign Inter Milan forward Mauro Icardi in swap deal, according to a report in Spain
Chelsea FC are willing to sacrifice Alvaro Morata in order to sign Mauro Icardi from Inter Milan, according to a report in Spain.
Spanish radio station Cadena Ser, as quoted by the Daily Star, is reporting that the Blues are ready to offload Morata following a difficult season for the Spain international.
The same article states that Chelsea FC have been monitoring the Argentina international in recent months following his eye catching form in Serie A.
According to the same story, the Blues would be willing to offer £35m plus Morata to complete a deal for South American forward.
Morata has been linked with a potential return to Serie A in the 2018 summer transfer window, although his ex-club Juventus appear to be favourites to sign the Spanish forward.
The 25-year-old scored 11 times in 31 games in the Premier League this season after struggling with injuries and a loss of form in the second half of the campaign.
Icardi, on the other hand, has netted 29 times in 34 outings in Serie A to finish at the top of the goal-scoring charts.
Chelsea FC finished in fifth place in the Premier League table to miss out on a spot in the Champions League.
