Chelsea FC are set to recall Charly Musonda from his loan at Celtic due to a lack of opportunities at the SPL champions, according to a report in England.
ESPN is reporting that the Blues are disappointed at Musonda’s lack of first-team football following his move to Celtic on an 18-month loan in the January transfer window.
The same article states that Chelsea FC believe the 21-year-old talent needs to be playing regularly in order to continue his progression.
According to the same story, the west London side turned down a number of offers in favor of sending Musonda to Celtic in the most recent transfer window.
Musonda has made six appearances in all competitions for the Scottish Premier League champions under ex-Chelsea FC coach Brendan Rodgers.
The Belgium Under-21 international has netted one goal in seven games in all competitions for the west London club over the past two seasons.
Chelsea FC have won the Premier League title in the past three seasons following top-flight triumphs under Jose Mourinho and his successor Antonio Conte.
The Blues signed Everton star Ross Barkley, AS Roma defender Emerson Palmieri and Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud in the January transfer window.
