Maurizio Sarri wants £179m Chelsea FC transfer budget to make three signings – report
Chelsea FC will have to give Maurizio Sarri a transfer budget in the region of £179m to replace Antonio Conte, according to a report in Italy
Maurizio Sarri is demanding a transfer budge of £179m to replace Antonio Conte at Chelsea FC, according to a report in Italy.
Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, as quoted by the Daily Star, claim that the former Napoli boss has made some transfer demands if he is to take over the reins from his compatriot at Stamford Bridge.
The same article states that Sarri is planning to raid Napoli if the 47-year-old takes up his first position in Premier League football following a successful season at Napoli.
According to the same story, the Italian head coach wants to sign Kalidou Koulibaly, right-back Elseid Hysaj and midfielder Piotr Zielinski, who he worked with at the Naples club.
Conte is expected to leave Chelsea FC this summer following a difficult second season in charge of the west London outfit despite a 1-0 win over Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley.
The former Juventus head coach led Chelsea FC to the Premier League title in his first season in charge after the Blues finished seven points clear of their closest challengers Tottenham Hotspur in 2016-17.
The Blues finished in fifth place in the Premier League table to miss out on a potential Champions League spot.
