The Daily Express, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Champions League finalists have lost their faith in the Poland international after his disappointing performance in the last four.

According to the same story, Chelsea FC have now moved ahead of Real Madrid in the race to sign the prolific 29-year-old striker in the summer transfer window to bolster their attacking options.
Lewandowski has scored 150 times in 194 games in all competitions during four seasons at Bayern Munich after the Polish striker moved to the Allianz Arena from Borussia Dortmund in 2014.
Chelsea FC finished in fifth spot in the Premier League table last term after the west London side lost 3-0 to Newcastle United in their final top-flight fixture of the 2017-18 season.
