The Daily Star is reporting that the Blues are one of the clubs interested in out-of-favour Manchester United forward Martial ahead of the summer transfer window.
Martial has struggled to hold down a regular in Jose Mourinho’s team since the Portuguese head coach replaced Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford back in May 2016.
Manchester United, on the other hand, have been linked with a potential swoop for Willian since Mourinho’s appointment given the pair’s prior working relationship at Stamford Bridge.
The same article states that Chelsea FC would be open to a swap deal that would see Martial complete a move to Stamford Bridge and Willian reunite with Mourinho.
The Brazil international has been in and out of the Chelsea FC team since Antonio Conte’s appointment at the west London club two summers ago.
Manchester United signed Chile international Alexis Sanchez in a swap deal from Arsenal in the January transfer window as Henrikh Mkhitaryan secured a move to the north London outfit.
Willian has won two Premier League titles and the League Cup at Stamford Bridge.
