Martin Keown makes prediction about Eden Hazard ahead of Chelsea FC v Man United
Martin Keown feels that Chelsea FC star Eden Hazard will be man marked by Manchester United this weekend
Martin Keown believes that Jose Mourinho is likely to instruct one of his Manchester United stars to man-mark Eden Hazard during the FA Cup final clash against Chelsea FC on Saturday.
The Red Devils are preparing to take on the Blues at Wembley in the showpiece this weekend as both teams look to end the campaign on a high by winning a trophy.
Mourinho has instructed the likes of Ander Herrera to keep a close eye on Hazard during recent encounters with Chelsea FC in the past.
And former Arsenal defender Keown feels that it is likely that Mourinho will adopt a similar approach to trying to keep the Belgian playmaker quiet again this weekend.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Keown said: “When these sides met in last season’s FA Cup quarter-final, Jose Mourinho assigned Ander Herrera and Phil Jones to pay close attention to Hazard.
“Herrera was sent off in the first half for a couple of overzealous challenges on the Belgian.
“Mourinho has tended to get players to put pressure on Hazard and I don’t think that’s going to change at Wembley.”
Manchester United head into the game after having secured a second-placed finish in the Premier League this season, which was their highest finish since 2013.
Chelsea FC, meanwhile are looking to bounce back from the disappointment of slipping to a fifth placed finish in the top flight to leave them competing in the Europa League next season rather than the Champions League.
Manchester United are aiming to win their third major trophy under Mourinho by beating Chelsea FC this weekend.
