And Sheringham is backing Jose Mourinho to get his Manchester United team to approach the game with a smart tactical plan against the Blues.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Sheringham said: “There’s an FA Cup final between Manchester United and Chelsea to come but while you’d always expect humdinger between those sides, you know Jose is going to try and win the game in a strategic manner, not in the way Sir Alex would have approached it, saying: ‘Show them what you can do, put them under pressure and they’ll crack with our intense football’.
“It’s not like that with Jose. You’re breaking down teams and it’s not easy on the eye.”
Manchester United will first take on Watford in their final Premier League game of the season on Sunday afternoon.
Chelsea FC, meanwhile, will look try and keep their faint top-four hopes alive by beating Newcastle United in their final game of the season at St James’ Park on Sunday afternoon.
