The Denmark international has enjoyed a breakthrough season at Stamford Bridge this term after having returned to the west London club following a two-year loan spell at Borussia Monchengladbach.
Christensen will be hoping to start for Chelsea FC when the Blues take on the Red Devils this weekend at Wembley as they bid to end what has been a largely disappointing campaign on a positive note.
The west London side slumped to a fifth-placed finish in the Premier League to leave them having to settle for a place in the Europa League next season rather than the Champions League.
Both Chelsea FC and Manchester United know that their final chance to win a trophy this season will be to lift the FA Cup at Wembley on Saturday evening.
And Danish defender Christensen is expecting to see a closely fought battle between the two sides at Wembley this weekend.
Speaking in an interview with Chelsea FC’s website, Christensen said: “I’m expecting a tight game but hopefully it tips our way.
“They have a great team and so do we, which is what makes it such a huge game, but we enjoy the big matches and everyone is really looking forward to it.
“Hopefully we can end the season by winning an important trophy.”
Chelsea FC won the Premier League title in style last season but they struggled to maintain consistent form in the top flight this time around.
