The Chelsea FC legend catches up with Eden Hazard at Cobham training ground
Frank Lampard has hailed Eden Hazard as a Chelsea FC “super star”.
The Belgium international has endured a difficult 2017-18 season in his second campaign under current manager Antonio Conte.
Hazard scored 12 times and made six assists in 36 games in the Premier League to finish the season with a respectable return.
However, the 27-year-old is facing the prospect of a second season in three years without Champions League football.
Hazard was powerless to prevent Chelsea FC from slumping to a disappointing 3-0 loss to Newcastle United in their final Premier League game.
The Belgian forward can still end the season on a high note if he can inspire the Blues to victory over Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley this weekend.
Chelsea FC record goal-scorer Lampard caught up with Hazard ahead of the FA Cup showpiece at the west London side’s Cobham training ground.
And the Blues legend lavished praise on Hazard following their chat in Surrey.
Lampard wrote on his Instagram page: “absolute pleasure interviewing @hazardeden_10 yesterday for @btsport. Laid back and open off the pitch, a superstar on it 🔥🔥. @chelseafc”
Hazard has won two Premier League titles, the Europa League and the League Cup since his move to Chelsea FC from Ligue 1 side Lille in the 2012 summer transfer window.
Chelsea FC lost 4-1 to FC Barcelona in the Champions League round of 16.
