Insider delivers update on Eden Hazard’s Chelsea FC future
Kristof Terreur delivers the latest news on Eden Hazard's long-term future at Chelsea FC
Eden Hazard will wait to see what signings Chelsea FC make this summer before making a decision about his long-term future at the club, according to Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur.
The Belgian playmaker is widely regarded to be one of the finest attacking talents in European football and he has helped the Blues to win the Premier League title twice since his arrival from Lille back in 2012.
Hazard and his Chelsea FC team-mates struggled to produce consistent form over the course of the season as the Blues slumped to a disappointing fifth-placed finish in the table.
It means that Chelsea FC have missed out on a place in the Champions League for next season and will have to make do with a spot in the Europa League.
Hazard has long been touted as a possible transfer target for Real Madrid and that speculation is likely to rear its head again this summer.
And Belgian journalist Terreur has claimed that Hazard is likely to make a decision about his long-term future at Chelsea FC once he has assessed their summer transfer business.
Speaking on the Sky Sports Transfer Talk podcast, Hazard said: “He wants to win the Champions League once.
“That’s why he said that he wants to see what players Chelsea are signing next season before he commits to the club. He wants to challenge for trophies.”
Chelsea FC are likely to make a number of new signings this summer as they look to regain the title next term.
