Paul Merson states his prediction for Leicester City v Arsenal
The Arsenal legend believes the Gunners will ease to a 3-0 win against Leicester City on Wednesday night
Paul Merson is backing Arsenal to secure a comfortable 3-0 win over Leicester City in their penultimate Premier League game under Arsene Wenger.
The Gunners were 5-0 winners against Burnley at the Emirates Stadium last weekend in Wenger’s final game in charge at The Emirates.
Goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alex Iwobi Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette helped to secured an emphatic three points.
Arsenal have a dismal record on the road in the Premier League this season following a return of three victories in 17 outings.
Indeed, the north London side have lost 10 times away from The Emirates but can improve that record with victories in their final to away 2017-18 Premier League games.
Leicester have lost four of their last five Premier League outings to heap pressure on Foxes manager Claude Puel ahead of the visit of Arsenal at the King Power Stadium.
Former Arsenal legend Merson is tipping Arsenal to ease to a 3-0 victory over Leicester in the Premier League on Sunday.
“Leicester are all over the place, they are completely gone and West Ham ripped them apart on Saturday, so I am going to go Arsenal 3-0,” Merson told Sky Sports.
“You just hope it does not rain at the King Power, as you can’t play in flip flops – they would be falling all over the place.”
Arsenal were 2-1 winners against Chelsea FC in the FA Cup at Wembley last season in what is Wenger’s final trophy in charge.
The Gunners lost 3-0 to Premier League champions Manchester City in the League Cup final at Wembley.
