Mark Lawrenson states his prediction for Leicester City v Arsenal
The Liverpool FC legend believes Arsenal will drop more points at Leicester City
Mark Lawrenson believes Arsenal will drop more points against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Wednesday night.
The Gunners will make the trip to Leicester looking to secure a victory in Arsene Wenger’s penultimate game in charge of the north London side.
Arsenal were impressive 5-0 winners against Burnley last weekend to help Wenger secured three points in his final game at The Emirates.
The Gunners have already secured a sixth-placed finish this term following their landslide win against Sean Dyche’s side.
Arsenal have a miserable record on the road in the Premier League this term after the Gunners lost 10 times in 17 away games.
The north London side will take on a Leicester City side that have lost four of their last five Premier League games.
Former Liverpool FC defender Lawrenson believes Arsenal will drop more points on the road in the Premier League at Leicester on Wednesday night.
“As for the game, well it was typical Arsenal for them to turn it on in Arsene Wenger’s last home game after 22 years in charge, and smash Burnley 5-0,” Lawrenson told BBC Sport.
“Their away form has been very poor, though, and it would not surprise me if they drop more points here – whatever kind of performance we see from Leicester.”
The Gunners haven’t won the Premier League title since 2003-04 under Wenger.
Arsenal lost 2-1 to Atletico Madrid over two legs to miss out on a place in the Europa League final.
The north London side are set to miss out on Champions League football for the second successive season.
