Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Sadio Mane is an injury doubt for Liverpool FC’s crunch clash against Brighton in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Reds head into the game knowing that a point will be enough to secure their place in the top four this season and book their spot in next season’s Champions League.

A defeat and a win for Chelsea FC on the final day of the season would cause Liverpool FC to drop out of the top four.

Now, Klopp has revealed that Mane has suffered a fresh injury blow ahead of the clash against Brighton this weekend.

Asked if Mane would be fit to face the Seagulls, Klopp told a news conference at Melwood on Friday: “We will see. It is not the same injury. It’s a fresh problem.”

Mane has been an integral part of the Liverpool FC team this season and he has scored 10 goals and made seven assists in 28 Premier League games so far this term.

Liverpool FC will have one eye on their crunch Champions League final showdown with Real Madrid in Kiev at the end of the month.

The Reds, who finished fourth in the top flight last season, are aiming to win their first trophy since Klopp’s appointment at Anfield back in October 2015.
