Liverpool FC open talks about signing 31-year-old German – report
Liverpool FC could make a move to sign Sami Khedira from Juventus this summer, say reports in Italy

Liverpool FC have held talks with Juventus about the possibility of signing Sami Khedira this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Sun is reporting that the Reds have held discussions with the Serie A side about the 31-year-old midfielder’s availability as the Italian club close in on the signature of Emre Can on a free transfer.
Can is widely expected to leave Anfield on a free transfer his summer after failing to agree a new contract with Liverpool FC, and Juventus have been strongly linked with the 24-year-old.
The same report is now claiming that Liverpool FC hold an intererst in signing Can’s Germany team-mate Khedira this summer as Jurgen Klopp looks to keep his midfield options strong ahead of next season.
The story says that Liverpool FC were “alerted” to Khedira’s potential availability this summer during discussions with Juventus about Can’s future.
Khedira has scored nine goals and made two assists in 26 Serie A games for Juventus so far this season.
Meanwhile, Liverpool FC are currently preparing for their crunch Premier League clash against Brighton on Sunday as they look to claim three points and secure their place in the top four, and a place in next season’s Champions League.
