Reported Liverpool FC target sends message to Loris Karius after Champions League nightmare
Alisson Becker sends a message to Loris Karius, the goalkeeper who he could replace at Liverpool FC according to some reports
Alisson has admitted that he feels sad for Liverpool FC goalkeeper Loris Karius after the German shot stopper’s nightmare in the Champions League final on Saturday night.
Liverpool FC made a strong start to their first Champions League final since 2007 before Mohamed Salah suffered a serious shoulder injury after a mere 30 minutes.
The Reds lost their momentum before half-time but made a bright start to the second half before Karius made his first mistake of the night.
The former Mainz goalkeeper inexplicably rolled the ball to the feet of Karim Benzema to allow the France international to break the deadlock.
Sadio Mane equalised for Liverpool FC with a close-range goal before Gareth Bale netted an incredible overhead kick to restore Real Madrid’s advantage.
The Wales international gave los Blancos a two-goal cushion when his shot was fumbled into the net by Karius to cap a miserable 90 minutes for the Liverpool FC number one.
Alisson has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool FC in recent months following his outstanding performances for AS Roma.
However, the AS Roma goalkeeper expressed his sympathy for Karius after a tough night for the German shot stopper in Kiev.
“I am very sad for what happened to Liverpool goalkeeper Karius in the Champions League final,” Alisson is quoted as saying by Metro. “I feel sorry for him.”
Liverpool FC signed Alisson’s compatriot Fabinho in a £39m deal from AS Monaco on Monday.
